Inserting Custom Properties

It is good practice to add custom properties to a part, assembly or drawing file and then link the properties to notes in the drawing. While you are adding a custom property note to the sheet format, a variable for the property name is displayed (in the form $PRPSHEET: “property name”). When you return to editing the sheet, the value of the property, if found, is displayed.
